How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Psalm 84:1-4

Nathaniel and I

I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air.

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Nov 2nd

Bright blue sky

And a hard frost.

Autumn's glory days are numbered.

Happy Monday!

Nathaniel Hawthorne had the right idea! :) That last picture is an ideal of autumn beauty.

Yesterday I was outside on a gorgeous sunday afternoon as well. I was seeing how many branches I could pull off a tree across the ditch. .without falling in. What a girl won't do for a decorative idea.
Your fall walk is gorgeous.

I think a hardy appreciation for the seasons comes from the dark days we endure in between glorious days like these. Beautiful shots Kathie...

Oh yes - I can't bear to be indoors either. Especially after an extremely long, hot summer with everything shut up and the a.c. going full blast day and night. Open windows aren't enough - I'm spending as much time walking and sitting on my front porch as possible. It's glorious!!

Nathanial was right and I agree. I haven't got scenes like these you've pictured, but I've got some nice fall days to enjoy.
Beautiful photography, Kathie.

Beautiful colors. And I love the frost photo. I'm generally up early enough to see the frost out the window, but by time I get dressed and go out with my camera, it's gone. One fine morning, my neighbors are going to see me out there in my jammies taking close-ups.
