A Sparrow's Home

How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Psalm 84:1-4

Friday faves

Happy Friday everyone

and

welcome to

Here are five of the many things that made me smile this week:

The weather has been very unsettled on the Island over the last while

so any glimpse of

1. blue sky

was sure to bring a smile,

2. and send me down here

to the sea ~ guaranteed to make me smile every time!

3. These little flower teapots!

They remind me of Mrs Potts in Beauty and the Beast.

I'm going to keep an eye out for them in the end-of-season sales - they're so cute!

4. My peony bushes are in bloom!

The bees are keeping busy gathering the golden pollen.

I love a peony in a crystal bowl

5. An evening stroll with my beloved along the boardwalk in Victoria Park

watching the sailboats across the Charlottetown harbour,

This dairy bar is conveniently located right in the center of the boardwalk

An ice-cream is just the thing you need to keep your energy up on your walk :)

Well . . .

the end of the walk

and

the end of my favourites for this week!

I'm so glad you dropped in for a wee visit.

Thanks!!

Your pink peony is stunning with it's dark pink center. I never thought to put it in a crystal bowl like that. Beautiful!

I'd love a stroll down that boardwalk. Looks so peaceful!

What a great list of favourites you have, and the teapots are such a lovely idea! I have some I don't use anymore, maybe I could use them too? Maybe I could display them on my old ladder? Oooh, you've given me such great ideas, I love it! What a gorgeous turquoise colour that sea of yours. Sigh!
Have a great week!

I love the sea where the blue sky sent you to. Those are pretty flowers, pots, and sailboats. Wonderful faves! And wait a minute, I just caught a glance at Sweet Bay's comment - you're in Prince Edward Island?! A friend and I are crazy about Anne Shirley of Green Gables. We are actually wishing we could visit PEI one day..... Thanks for sharing such lovely photos of your faves this week.

Gorgeous photos, Kathie! The second picture is my favorite - such beautiful sky and water!

Sorry I'm late coming by today -- the yard sales were a bust! I didn't buy a thing, so I went regular shopping :(

What is the name of that gorgeous pale pink peony? I'd love to have one like it. I have the deep pink ones and the white with a fleck of deep pink in the centre. They are all so lavishly beautiful.
Displaying it in the bowl reminds me of my mom who often put a single full peony in a bowl as a centerpiece. Thank you for taking us along on your stroll. Is it near your home or do you have to drive to get there?
