I love shadows on snow - still at the point and shoot stage

Crabapple
Using the macro button. I don’t like the shadow on the bottom left.

Trying out the macro

Common Redpoll (Finch)
I have a lot of these little birds on the feeder. Used the zoom.

Misty Evening
We’ve had quite a few cloudy, rainy days - a Jan thaw. It was just before 5 pm and I was trying to catch that last little bit of sunlight - it was quite pinkish. I also wanted to capture the mist. I think it was in tungsten by mistake. Which explains the bluish tone. Oh well… I’m learning. I like the big fir tree as my focal point. This was taken down by John and Anne’s farm.

January Thaw
I took this the at the same time as Misty evening. I have a few gaps in my “photo a day” so I’m adding a few extras.
I like the way the twin firs seem to be rising out of the fog. Also in tungsten - I think.

Morning Light
I was having my morning coffee when the sun suddenly shone through the living room window on my harp. I love the look of the light on the wood. I experimented with several different angles - I couldn’t quite get what I wanted.

Some Web!
ok ok ok
This work of art was found in my kitchen! It was so beautifully woven I just had to take a picture even if it does make a statement regarding my house-keeping. It was hard to get the picture in focus - the web was so fine that it kept moving.

Bokeh
Bokeh - a new term that I learned while surfing photgraphy sites. It’s Japanese for blur. It happens when I zoom in - I’m not exactly sure how but I love the effect.

Peeking
I love this little Common Redpoll’s sideway peek at me. They aren’t very shy birds which works well for picture-taking. Notice the red-cap. Another bokeh picture.
